Ah, the cooler temperatures, the trees are about to show off their true beauty, and a new invasion of pests!  What?! Bee Gone Already.

Okay bumble bees - your time has come.  Summer is almost over, but many of you are hanging on to our Chicagoland warm weather.  It is time for you to be gone for winter and forever…on our property anyway.  How much do you know about this potentially harmful version of this type of bee?   It would not hurt to ask some specific questions about this insect.

The Bald Faced Hornet.

It sounds like a new Batman villain doesn’t it?  What will the caped crusader do when Gotham is invaded by the Bald Faced Hornet?  Unfortunately, it is not the stuff of comic books.  For Chicagoland this insect is very real and VERY dangerous.  Would you be surprised if we told you that it may be the most dangerous wasp in our entire area?
