Looking Around for Carpenter Ants.

If these nasty creatures have invaded your home you won’t have to look hard to find them.  We wanted to let you know early in the spring exactly where to look for them in your Chicago area home.  Carpenter ants can and will damage any type of wood.  A colony of them can grow into “satellite nests”.  Destroy them early!

You won’t find carpenter ants building nests in dry wood, generally.  Their various points of entry into your castle are in the foundation, through electric wires, attic vents, and even telephone lines.  They appreciate your doors, windows, panels, and walls.  That is where they will set up THEIR home in YOUR home.

They don’t derive any nutritional value from wood, they just ruin it by making nests.  It may not seem like a problem now in early April, but it could be an insurmountable one later.  At the first possible sign call Chicagoland carpenter ant exterminator Kurt Spurgeon of A Complete Pest Solution.  Keep the number handy (630) 464-1542.
